Beyond Craft, Embracing a Mindful Lifestyle

My name is Yana Factor. I’m a nature and craft enthusiast since childhood and an avid seeker in personal growth and the pursuit of self-improvement and self-awareness. For the last ten years I have prioritised personal growth as a life-long journey and embraced learning, expanding and evolving as an individual.

My intention is to guide others through a process of reconnection to oneself, the beautiful earth we are a part of and our loved ones. This is done by co-creating with nature to cultivate inner stillness, intuition, spirituality and a sense of groundedness.

More about me…

I grew up in a family of craft practitioners, artists and musicians. Creativity was encouraged, nurtured and following in my father’s footsteps, today I am the fifth generation woodworker in the family.

My skills were honed through musical instrument making but it wasn’t until I began making wall art and pendants that my creativity began to truly flourish. I noticed too a change in how making felt inside. The nature of the projects were stress-free and being present and focused on my task allowed me to tap into a creative source of inspiration that I have learned to follow as Divine guidance. Through inner stillness creativity flows and the nature of my work allows me to explore and appreciate the minute details in wood grains and plant materials. Looking closely at nature has always been a passion and it became a purpose to demonstrate the absolute beauty of nature whether through woodwork, eco-printing, abstract nature photography…

Another passion of mine is learning about the use of plants both at home and abroad. That led me to complete a Masters in Ethnobotany, a discipline that looks at the relationship between people and plants. But learning doesn’t stop there, years of working with teachers in Plant Spirit Medicine, Shamanism, Plant Medicines, Forest Bathing and Sound Healing have all helped me immensely on my path of personal growth and guided me towards living in accordance with my true authentic self. Finally, it’s clear that my purpose is to combine my interests and knowledge as one and provide a non-judgemental and safe space for others to find connection and joy through craft and nature. As a nature lover, I’ve spent many years exploring the woodlands with my dogs and I understand fully the benefits of learning to be whilst connecting with nature.

My life resolution to myself is to focus on things that bring me happiness and feed my soul. So I humbly offer my skills and teachings to you in the hope that you too can feel grounded, empowered, inspired and connected oncemore to yourself and all the beauty that surrounds you.
